I’m debating with myself if I should post this or not.
My photo skill in aquarium sucks! Most of the photos are either blur or too blue 🙁
Someone need to take me to the aquarium often, so I can learn to take a better photos.
Alright that part is an excuse, I just want to travel LOL
.
Anyway, one of the professor told me that the SEA Aquarium in Sentosa, Singapore is the biggest aquarium in Asia, and I should visit if I have time.
And I did.
I haven’t been to aquarium for ages. I went to SeaWorld Indonesia when I was a kid.
However, the place is closed now. For good.
(Shame on you people who close it. Now the children do not have a place to learn about Marine life. I hate you.)
.
Alright, let me show you my post
(Warning: Most of the images are grotesque. I warned you before)
.
SEA Aquarium (stands for South East Asian Aquarium) is located in Sentosa Island, Singapore.
The ticket costs around 35SGD per person, but if you come in couple, they’ll give discount.
Or actually there are a lot of discount tix, you could ask at the counter.
In the entrance there is a big ship. It’s actually a small theater. It shows an animation about sea expedition. The animation plays every 20 minutes so don’t worry about it.
.
There is the schedule of the attraction such as feeding and dolphin show. You might want to take a look of it, so you don’t miss the important show.
.
There are is an exhibition about the history of expedition in ASEAN before you enter the tank.
It’s pretty interesting IMHO
The first thing you see inside is the shipwreck.
Then you will enter a tunnel full of sharks.
For the rest, you just have to follow the route. Check on different tank of fishes.
They divide the tanks and fishes based on where the fishes come from.
For example the oceania, pacific, etc.
In every tank, there is information board about the fish
This is the main tank. It’s really big
I was lucky because it’s the feeding (or cleaning) time.
I got a glimpse of the divers. Sometimes they waved to you.
You can’t forget about the jellyfish!
Aren’t they cute??
This tank is installed with different lights, and the Jellyfishes become colorful when the light change.
..
What else they have beside the show..
Oh they have petting tank where you can touch several animals.
.
I did not get to see the dolphin show (too bad). It was raining that day and it was too humid. I can’t stand it.
.
Overall..
I’m not sure if this aquarium is the biggest one in Asia. My friend said to me it’s the one in Okinawa.
I’m a little bit sad that they don’t have whale shark as well.
But yeah, I think it’s bigger than the SeaWorld in Indonesia.
.
I would say, if you want to explore a lot of parts of Sentosa island in a day then you better not to include the aquarium on your itinerary.
But if you bring little children and want to educate them about the marine life, I think the aquarium is OK.
They have a newer aquarium in Sentosa, so you probably want to check that one.
.
.
.
Alright, that’s all for this week.
As always, comments are always loved!
Every photos is still so beautiful. Glad you decided to post it! 🙂
